Brief Job Description

 

The main purpose of this position is to provide after sales support and training to merchants for the installation of the equipment sent as well as insuring that the merchants that are newly boarded start processing in a timely manner.

 

Duties/Responsibilities

 

  • Support and train merchants with the installation of the terminals
  • Assist with cancellation of previous merchant services providers where applicable
  • Document all clients interactions in the system
  • Ensure timely and effective resolution of customer questions and requests
  • Contact inactive merchants and manage pending installations
  • Offer supplies for the terminals (paper) upon installation
  • Any other tasks as assigned

Job Requirements

 

Qualifications (skills/experience)

 

  • A minimum 1 to 2 years experience in customer service environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to be tactful and resourceful, proven ability to provide great customer service experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with proven experience to prioritize workload
  • Data entry skills with an eye for technical information
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office
  • Bilingual is a must for this role

 

Working Language

 

  • English (written and spoken) is the language used 99% of the time, as work colleagues and clientele are both geographically dispersed within and outside of Quebec
  • Internal communications between colleagues occur in English or in French, depending on the parties involved. Strategic suppliers are located outside of Quebec
  • A basic knowledge of French is required for any position located within Quebec. English is required for this position, as it could report to someone outside of Quebec, and requires frequent out of province communications
