Job Description

Reporting to the VP of Product, the Compliance and Certification manager is responsible for ensuring both internal and external products maintain compliance with the various card brand, governmental and industry mandates as well as ensuring that a Pivotal maintains a clear certification path to its payment host.

 

Product Compliance:

 

  • Build, manage and execute process to ensure market regulators are being monitored to ensure products maintain compliance with industry standards
  • Determine impacts of compliance mandates. Work with product managers and Corporate Project Management Office (CPMO) to ensure compliance measures are planned and scheduled for implementation
  • Create and maintain product compliance roadmaps across all products
  • Monitor association reporting for triggers to begin product compliance investigations. Determine impact, resolution and implementation paths
  • Produce weekly/monthly/quarterly compliance reports to communicate across team/business unit/corporate
  • Act as a key point of contact for the business as it relates to product compliance
  • Maintain awareness and understanding of market trends and needs and how it may impact compliance

 

Product Certification:

 

  • Build, manage and execute process to ensure internal and external products are successfully certified to Pivotal’s payment host
  • Develop and manage “intake” process for certification requests, ensure products are ready to enter certification cycle
  • Oversee certification testing and documentation of results
  • Work with developers and stakeholders to analyse issues during certification cycle and assist with solutioning
  • Ensure QA and Certification environment is updated and available, including ownership of all necessary internal and 3rd party testing tools
  • Maintain list of products certified to Pivotal’s payment host and work with developers when market changes require re-development and/or re-certification

Job Requirements

Experience and Skills:

 

Must haves:

 

  • Prior experience with EMV and payment scheme specifications and certification requirements
  • Two or more years experience performing hands-on EMV payment testing using various credit card hardware
  • Experience working with EMV test tools (Collis/UL preferable)
  • Experience working in a financial services/payments regulated environment. Familiarity with ISO 8583, ISO 20220, Base II, PCI, PA-DSS, etc
  • Self-motivated, self-managing and goal oriented
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively across a variety of media

 

Nice to haves:

 

  • Strong project management experience with ability to manage multiple projects
  • Knowledge of the SDLC lifecycle
  • Experience in troubleshooting and technical support
  • Understanding emerging products and technologies in payment acceptance
  • Ability to work in a highly-technical, fast-paced environment
  • Preference will be given to candidates who are resident in the Montreal, QC or Scottsdale, AZ areas
